How do you track independence milestones for your kids?

Hey parents! I’m curious about how everyone keeps track of their kids’ growing independence. Do you use a journal, app, or just mental notes? I’m looking for some creative ways to document those little moments when your kids start doing things on their own - like making their first sandwich, walking to a neighbor’s house alone, or managing their own homework schedule. What milestones do you find most significant, and how do you celebrate or record them? Would love to hear some personal experiences and tips!

I snap quick photos on my phone for big moments. My kids have a shared folder where we track their solo achievements. My 12-year-old now manages her own homework schedule and walks to her friend’s house. My 9-year-old just started making his own lunch. These aren’t huge things, but they show growing independence. We chat about these moments during dinner - no big ceremony, just casual recognition. Works well for us and keeps things low-stress.
